More than 80,000 certificates awarded in Latin America

Since its launch in 2013, the Virtual Learning Platform has awarded more than 80,000 certificates to people seeking to strengthen their knowledge and skills.

Its courses cover essential agricultural topics, including:

  • Good agricultural practices.
  • Responsible use of crop protection products.
  • Biotechnology.
  • Sustainability.
  • Risk prevention and the protection of health and the environment.

The courses support independent learning, giving farmers, technicians, students, professionals and others in the agrifood sector access to up-to-date content from across Latin America.

Recognition of a collective effort

The award also recognises the commitment of the instructors, partners and national associations that have helped develop, update and promote the courses.

It also honours the thousands of participants who have placed their trust in the platform and applied what they have learned in their professional, academic and farming activities.

The award was accepted by José Perdomo, President of CropLife Latin America, at the 2026 FRONDA Awards ceremony, held as part of Cumbre Rizosfera, an event that brings together initiatives and leaders committed to transforming agrifood systems.
