CropLife Latin America is a non-profit industry trade association consisting of six companies and a network of 26 associations in eighteen countries of Latin America.

We represent Bayer CropScience, Sumitomo Chemical, FMC, Syngenta, BASF, and Corteva Agriscience. These companies are committed to agricultural productivity and sustainability through the offer of better seeds, biotechnology and phytosanitary products.

CropLife Latin America is one of the eleven regional associations affiliated to CropLife International, the plant science industry’s global federation.

The industry represented by CropLife Latin America complies with the FAO International Code of Conduct alignments on the Distribution and Utilization of Pesticides. Additionally, the industry has strict ethical and social responsibility parameters, in aspects like quality, respect for public health and environment.

The industry represented by CropLife Latin America is recognized by its innovation and technology, which promotes a sustainable, productive agriculture, that protects biodiversity and guarantees sufficient food for a growing population.


Represent the plant science industry by promoting sound legal and science-based regulatory frameworks, to communicate in a transparent way industry’s contributions to innovation, to greater productivity and the advancement towards sustainable agriculture in Latin America.

Our strategic priorities are encompassed in the following lines of work:

  • Advocate CropLife’s views aimed at the adoption of adequate legal frameworks in the regulatory and intellectual property areas, compatible with globally accepted trade standards for Crop Protection, Biotechnology, Biologicals and future emerging technologies.
  • Communicate the contributions of the plant science industry to agriculture and the environment, and promote dialogue with society.
  • Promote effective stewardship programs (CuidAgroSM and CampoLimpioSM) as our contribution to protecting human health biodiversity, and environment.
  • Optimize the operation of the CropLife network to effectively and efficiently achieve the common goals of our members (both member companies and member Associations).
